Have you been wondering, is there a tactical pistol course near me? Whether looking for a tactical pistol course in Virginia, Nevada or any state please consider VSS for your training requirements.

The Tactical Pistol Part 1 course instructs on the safe handling of the student’s chosen pistol and/or revolver. Instruction involves detailed classroom work and practical applications using the crawl/walk/run process. Subjects covered will include the appropriate mindset, mental awareness levels, equipment selection, weapon handling, shooting stances and positions, as well as a briefing on the legal use of deadly force, requirements to legally carry a concealed deadly weapon, and the conduct of safe weapons range fire. The author Erik Lawrence has created the best tactical pistol course layout and experience acquired in his years as a trainer and operator. This course has no prerequisites but does require a good attitude towards safety and willingness to learn.

The tactical pistol part 2 is also conducted using the crawl/walk/run process and designed to build on Tactical Pistol 1. The Advanced pistol course students will introduce new skills, while basic skills will be reinforced with various shooting drills and situations. Participants must have completed Tactical Pistol 1 or an equivalent. Subjects will include a review of basic skills, multiple-target engagement, shooting under self‐induced and exterior induced stress, engaging moving targets, and tactical decision‐making utilizing various types of cover and barricades.
